The Golf Fore Red™ charity golf tournament was created in 2007 Shelley French and Mary Robinson, two women who had been friends for nearly 40 years and who had both lost their mothers to heart disease. They decided to honor their mothers by bringing women together on a theme of education, friend-raising and fund-raising. Profits from the event go to the Seattle affiliate of the American Heart Association (AHA).
