Looking for wash-and-wear golf attire that you can wear off the course as well? Do you love bright colors and slimming styles? Then 9 & Dine golf dresses might be the answer to your prayers.
Designed by former Duramed player and pro shop buyer Debbie Munoz, 9 & Dine Apparel is her solution to having ready-to-wear-anywhere golf attire. “When I was on tour, the basic issue was having a closet of golf clothes on one side and going-out clothes on the other. Why couldn’t they be the same?” Debbie started shopping for dresses that she could wear golfing. She’d get them altered and then wear a collared shirt over the top.
When you go to her site, you choose from one of six dress styles based on what fits your body shape best (brilliant). Then you choose one of several colorful fabrics and either a shorter or longer length to the dress (on most of the styles). If you need a collar, you can purchase a coordinating top to wear over the dress. Dresses start at $149 and include shaping shorts. Tops are sold separately and begin at $49.
Debbie, who lives in Florida, designs all the colorful fabrics, which are a polyester blend to help keep you cool and are anti-microbial. While the fabrics are made in Colombia, the dresses are assembled in Miami. Some of the styles have other unique design details to help battle the blazing sun. For example, the Kate Kimono dress has drawstrings in the sleeves so you can pull them up and out of the way (shown above).
The next collection will include more neutral color options and new dress styles as well as some other lifestyle pieces, such as sweaters and shrugs. To design your own 9 & Dine dress, go to 9-Dine.com.
