Putting on Date Night

Looking for a fun date night idea that includes golf?  If you’re in Seattle, check out Smash Putt Golf.  It’s part art exhibit, part miniature golf, part bar.  Built in an old detention facility, “the game offers chances to fire balls from cannons at moving targets, scramble opponent’s courses and putt past moving terrains,” according to Marian Liu of the Seattle Times.

The exhibit is located in the International District and lasts until October 16th.  Guests must be over 21.    For more information go to Smash Putt.com.

Holy cow, Smash Putt ‘Miniature Golf Apocalypse’ is truly what miniature golf always secretly wanted to be. Call me a city slicker, but I’d be fine if you did this to full-sized golf as well. This is fun!!

The idea of the “miniature golf course as art” is being explored in many places these day… I’ve read about museums in NY, Boston and Paris (France) where they’ve done installations or exhibits featuring elements of minigolf. I hope the trend continues… the possibilities are endless.
