There’s nothing better than when a piece of equipment not only works well but makes your life easier. It’s a rare feat, especially in golf. The ClicGear push cart is the exception to the rule.
Their carts remind me of Apple products – innovative, sleek, multi-functional and user-friendly. Launched in 2007, it won the Best New Product Award at the PGA Show. The current model, 3.0, has nine new or improved features including a larger console, a storage net under the console, and four new accessory mounts. It’s sturdy frame and wheels can go nearly anywhere, looking sharp and always prepared.
The console can hold your scorecard on the outside or the inside (depending on the weather) and can hold three golf balls as well as your wallet, sunscreen, lip gloss, and phone. We loved that the brake is handily located at the top so you don’t have to search for it near the wheels.
The golf cart folds up neatly to a 23″ x 15″ x 13″ rectangle that fits into the trunk or back seat. Our only suggestion is that they add a button so that it folds itself up.
If you are a gadget golfer, they have lots of new accessories to make your day (sold separately). A holder for your GPS or iPhone, a cart seat for the wait at the turn as well as a cooler bag for sandwiches or beer, rain hoods and covers. There’s even a storage hook for the wall of your garage during winter months.
The 3.0 Model comes in a rainbow of colors including red, blue, yellow*, kiwi green*, pink* and silver [* limited edition colors]. They are just launching the white, which will be more readily available by April. ClicGear’s cart retails for $199. To purchase or find a retailer near you, go to ClicGear.
